History of Indian army

MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

-> MOD (Ministry of defence ) was established in 1947 after india becameindependent .
-> This MOD headed by minister of cabinet rank .
-> According to the constitution of India PRESIDENT is the supreme commander of the Armed forces.
->Prior responsibility was taken by union cabinet of India defence minister (A.K.ANTONY).

-> It is due to his leadership during INDO -PAK war of 1965.

Indian coast guard
